Actor Matthew, 30, confirmed the news in an Instagram post that their relationship had ended but adamantly denied being unfaithful to the 20-year-old singer.
Confirming the breakup, he wrote on his Instagram Story, “Nobody cheated on anybody.
“Relationships end. Simple as that. Rumoring and LYING on the internet is dangerous.
Matthew, who appeared in the TV movie Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? and was also in a short film called The Curse of Frank Sinatra, later hit back at some of Billie’s fans who started following him after their split news broke.

Rumor has it the Bad Guy hitmaker was courting Matthew when they were spotted last spring.
Rumors swirled as the couple enjoyed a string of romantic dates and Billie fans speculated that Matthew was the ‘secret boyfriend’ she mentioned in her 2021 Apple TV+ documentary Billie Eilish: The world is a bit of a blur.
It’s unclear how the couple initially met, but both stars are originally from and based in Los Angeles.
The duo have mostly managed to keep their relationship private, but that hasn’t stopped Matthew from being embroiled in a run after a number of his past tweets resurfaced on social media.
Last June, he came under fire from Billie’s die-hard fanbase after his tweets from several years ago saw him use slurs against Asian, Black, and LGBTQ+ people, as well as women.
Screenshots of the alleged tweets have surfaced showing the actor being accused of using the ‘N’ word while also referring to gay men as ‘f**s’.
In another tweet from 2012, Matthew appeared to take a wild swipe at singing sensation Adele by calling her ‘British Miss Piggy’.
