Gemma Collins has revealed her fiancé Rami Hawash had a ‘very serious’ accident at work and needed surgery
Gemma Collins has revealed her fiancé Rami Hawash was rushed to hospital after having a “very serious” accident at work.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the TV personality shared a cuddling photo of an injured Rami, who was wearing an eye patch and had a cut on his nose, after driving overnight from Glasgow to London to be with him.
Gemma told her followers how Rami, 44, who runs a mechanical repair business in Romford, needed surgery and had ‘not slept’ after her car broke down on the M6 at 4:30 a.m.
She wrote: “Glasgow to London No sleep. A breakdown in the car. but got it back to you. My first week apart since being out…. Missed you.
“Also guys just before i left for my tour, rami had a really bad eye and nose accident at work, he needs surgery, it’s been a really weird week before my tour!! !”.
The reality TV star explained that she couldn’t relax until Rami had eye surgery.
Gemma added, “If you don’t laugh you will definitely cry!!! Hey hey. Always stay positive. Poor Rummy as soon as his surgery is over I can relax properly then.”
Gemma kicked off her Big Night Out tour in Manchester on Tuesday before heading to Glasgow.
It was reported last summer that the GC are set to raise £250,000 from the tour, with a VIP meet and greet package selling for £113 per person.
The TV personality also shared her concern for her mother Joan who crashed her car after driving into a display of flower pots at a garden centre.
“Plus, my mom drove in a display of ceramic flower pots at the local garden center!!” she said.
An emotional Gemma had previously taken to her Instagram Stories to reveal that the car she was traveling in broke down on the motorway in the early hours of Friday morning.
She said: “Guys, you can’t write this. I’m now broken down in a car on the M6 toll. Can someone come and rescue me please?”
She then shared a snap of the deserted highway, captioning it, “Lol I’m crying.”
After finally reuniting with Rami, they headed to a cafe with Gemma sharing a beloved snap on her page.
It comes after Gemma said earlier this week that she will start trying to start a family with her fiancé Rami this year.
The former TOWIE star has previously made it clear she wants children – but revealed the pair are struggling to conceive.
Gem said on her podcast that the couple are considering IVF treatment.
And it looks like she’s set to start the journey in August, as she broke the news on her stand-up show – The GC’s Big Night Out – in Manchester on Tuesday night.
She performed at the Quay Street Opera House – telling audiences how she hopes to start trying for a baby with her fiancé this summer.
