Netflix TV shows and movies airing in April, including Joker

A range of TV shows and movies are available on Netflix next April. Some of the standouts include a new documentary about celebrity pedophile Jimmy Savile

DC fans will be delighted that Joker is available on Netflix in the UK in April

Every month, Netflix releases a whole range of TV shows and movies for subscribers.

Despite an increase in the subscription price and concerns that users in the future may also be charged for using multiple addresses on the account, the new offers will generate a lot of interest.

For any new changes that might annoy customers, Netflix hopes the quality of shows available to watch will be good enough to undo any changes to their service.

There are plenty of great shows and movies like Joaquin Phoenix’s jaw-dropping performance in 2019’s hit Joker, as well as fan updates from Ozark and Riverdale.

The month also includes a controversial pick, with the addition of Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story.

With plenty to choose from once people get over Season Two of Bridgerton now available, we take a look at all the shows and movies available in April.

There’s a whole range of shows coming to Netflix this month, including regular updates for Riverdale fans on Mondays.

The standout intro is the docuseries Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story. This should not be confused with the drama starring Steve Coogan which will soon air on the BBC.

Netflix said: “TV star Jimmy Savile charmed a nation with his eccentricity and philanthropy. But the sexual abuse allegations reveal a shocking, unseen side to his personality.”

The story is still raw in the UK, in which the acclaimed TV personality committed hundreds of sex crimes over several years, so the new documentary could help to understand how such a thing could have happened.

Elsewhere, there’s the next part of Ozark season four to look forward to, as well as Selling Sunset season five.

Rupert Friend and Sienna Miller star in Anatomy Of A Sandal, an interesting new drama that follows the life of a scandal-ridden politician and his wife.
