Danny Elfman has certainly embraced his wild side – trading in classic suits and glasses for wild hair and plenty of tattoos.

Bridget Fonda’s husband has updated his look since they posed together on the red carpet.

Bridget was seen this week for the first time in 12 years after deciding to give up the fame game.

But Danny has remained very much in the spotlight and continues to enjoy his music career.

The 68-year-old is a well-known composer who created the music for 16 Tim Burton films, including Batman, Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

His music has also been heard in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies, the Men In Black and Fifty Shades of Gray franchises, and of course he wrote the themes for hit TV shows The Simpsons and Desperate Housewives.

While his time composing mostly keeps him behind the scenes, Danny also enjoys being in the limelight as the singer-songwriter of new wave band Oingo Boingo.

He regularly uses his Instagram account to share snaps of himself wowing crowds on stage with his band, which is due to perform at the upcoming Coachella festival.

Danny has changed his look a lot over the years, going from conservative suits and glasses while posing next to Bridget on the red carpet to letting his red hair grow out and rolling up his sleeves to reveal his many tattoos.

Smiley Danny often posts photos of his ginger locks hanging out in the middle.

Last year, he shared a photo of his shirtless torso which revealed he was covered in tattoos, with inks including skeletons and a dog’s face.

Danny and Bridget, 58, were red carpet regulars before she stepped out of the spotlight for a simpler life at home with her husband and son Oliver, now 17.

They were last pictured together at the 2009 premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, which coincidentally became Bridget’s last public appearance.

Oliver was pictured with his father and half-sister Mali Elfman – Danny’s daughter from a previous relationship – at the 2016 premiere of Alice Through the Looking Glass, although Bridget did not monitoring.

These days, the family lives in the posh Los Angeles suburb of Encino, where their famous neighbors include Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, Gwen Stefani and Selena Gomez.

Bridget was born into a very famous family – the granddaughter of Henry Fonda, the daughter of Peter Fonda and the niece of Jane Fonda.

She happily renounced fame and previously explained that she often questioned her right to be part of an inner circle of movie big names.

She struggled with her self-confidence and the pressure she felt was thrust upon her as part of a massive celebrity dynasty.

She told Movieline in 1993: “I wonder what kind of satisfaction I would have with where I am now if I weren’t part of a family that did such a phenomenal job.

“I wonder what it would be like to know that you did it all on your own. I sometimes wonder if I’d be more at peace if I could know that I did it on my own, instead of always ask me how many times my name has kicked me out.”

She left Hollywood in 2003 and, at the time, unconfirmed reports said she was struggling after a serious car accident that left her with back injuries.

The accident, along with the birth of her son a year later, was thought to have convinced her to retire from the industry and settle into a quieter life.
