Winston Pies opens third location in Santa Monica

The restaurant was formerly known as ButterCrust Pies

Winston Pies is staying in Santa Monica as it finally opens its third location at 826 Pico Boulevard, as reported And now Los Angeles. The restaurant used to be called ButterCrust Pies.

The other two locations are in Brentwood and West Hollywood. Winston Pies had a take-out place, named Winston Pies To Go, at 1705 Ocean Avenue. At this location, they were renting the space for a year, so it was a temporary solution while they looked for their permanent location. Winston Pies owner Brianna Abrams chose Milo SRO’s former space.

Currently the business is working on opening the new location where the old pizzeria was and will not be open for some time.

Baking was one of Abrams’ family traditions and most of her female relatives baked pies. The family tradition has become his passion. Abrams baked in his kitchen and started the ButterCrust Pies company. She has made custom pies for clients all over Los Angeles. These pies became very popular and Abrams was able to open its first storefront in 2017 and the second store in the fall of 2018. Then it reached the level where it was able to start shipping its pies all over the country and people all over the United States have come to know the quality of Abrams pastry.

Abrams said, quoted by What Now Los Angeles, “Pastry has always been a part of my life, a tradition passed down from generation to generation and deeply ingrained in the fabric of my family life. After spending over a decade working as a senior lawyer representing clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation and corporate investigations, I made the decision to leave my corporate career behind to pursue my passion for baking full time.
